Fire Wardens / Marshals Training Course
AIM
The Aim is to brief staff on the duties of a Fire Warden/Fire Marshal and on their role within the current Site Fire Plans.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Fire Wardens and Fire Marshals, lone and vulnerable workers, particularly those working unsocial hours or in isolated locations with minimal support.
QUALIFICATION
Delegates will receive an attendance certificate recording the outcome of their assessment test. This is in accordance with the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005.
DURATION
Presentations can be of 90 minutes, 2 hours, 3 hours or half day to suit operational requirements. Content will be adjusted accordingly.
COURSE STRUCTURE
The course is structured into 6 Units. Training includes a wide variety of learning methods including formal presentation, video, individual and group activities and practical use of extinguishers on a real flame.

Unit 2 The role of the Fire Warden/Fire Marshal
Unit 3 Theory of fire and fire spread
Unit 4 Fire prevention and suppression
Unit 5 Action in the Event of Fire, Evacuation and communication
Unit 6 Practical use of extinguishers
