Aim
The Aim of the course is to train employees/security personnel of the threat, capabilities and control methods when dealing with the threat of encountering an IED.
Who should attend?
Security managers, security personnel and specialised security teams designed to deal with incidents.
Qualification
Delegates will receive an attendance certificate recording the outcome of their assessment test.
Duration
Presentations can be delivered at two competence levels (Beginner & Intermediate) dependent upon previous experience. The duration of the course is 1 Day for the Beginner & 3 Days for the Intermediate (Train the Trainer).

The course is structured into 6 Units. Training includes a wide variety of learning methods including formal presentation and individual and group activities.

Unit 2 IED Types & Component Parts
Unit 3 Threat Assessment & Vulnerability
Unit 4 Searching (Person, Vehicle, Area, Routes)
Unit 5 Train the Reaction Teams (Composition & Equipment)
Unit 6 Actions on IED’s / Liaison with Government Departments
