BASIC FOOD SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE


AIM

The aim of the course is to train people in safe working practices relating to the preparation or handling of food.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Any personnel who have a basic role in food handling within their job role such as catering assistants, child minders and nursery or care staff.

QUALIFICATION

Delegates will receive a certificate, valid for 3 years.

DURATION

The duration of the course is 3 hours contact time.

COURSE STRUCTURE

Training includes a wide variety of learning methods including formal presentation and individual and group activities. There are theory and practical sessions to include:

  • Legislation and work practices
  • The safe handling of food
  • Contamination and Hazards
  • Preventative measures
