Aim
This award prepares students who are required to carry out CCTV (Public Space Surveillance (PSS) operator role as part of their employment. This award is in support of the SIA licensing process.

Who should attend?
The Edexcel Level 2 BTEC Award in CCTV Control Room Operation has been designed to meet the training needs of security personnel who operate CCTV (PSS) equipment which enables the operator to actively monitor the activities of members of the public. Qualification
On successful completion of the course, students will receive an Edexcel Level 2 BTEC Award in CCTV Control Room Operation certificate. Successful students may also apply for an SIA Licence.

Duration
Minimum 30 guided learning hours.

Course Structure:
The award is structured to encompass the nine core competencies as required by the SIA. To achieve the award, candidates must successfully complete all assessment activities for both units.
