Description:

Fire Safety Awareness Briefing

The Aim is to brief company personnel on fire prevention, the use of portable fire extinguishers and the role of Site Fire Plans. This briefing is generic but can be made site specific for bulk bookings. Site specific briefings are suitable for being included in the corporate induction process.

Who should attend?
Managers, supervisors, fire marshals, staff under induction, security officers, maintenance staff, care workers, teachers and teaching support staff, caterers, workshop personnel, lone and vulnerable workers, particularly those working unsocial hours or in isolated locations with minimal support.

Duration
1/2 day

Qualification
Delegates will receive an attendance certificate recording the outcome of their multiple-choice assessment test.

Course Structure:
The course is structured into 4 Units. Fire prevention and risk assessment are themes that link all four units. Training includes a wide variety of learning methods including formal presentation, individual and group activities.

Unit 1: Theory of Fire
Unit 2: Fire Risk Assessment and Individual and Corporate Responsibilities.
Unit 3: Incident management and evacuation planning.
Unit 4: Fire prevention and use of portable extinguishers.
