Description:

Aim
The Aim is to enable people designated as the First Aider to carry out appropriate first aid in an emergency situation. Following the course the delegate will be able to manage a casualty who is injured at work, or suffers from a serious illness, until medical professionals arrive. Each on site course is tailored around your workplace where possible.

Who should attend?
Employers have an obligation under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and Approved Code of Practice (ACOP L74) to make adequate and appropriate first aid provision for their workforce.

It is recommended that someone is able to undertake first aid duties at all times when people are at work.

Each employer should carry out its own risk assessment to establish what level of first aid cover it requires at each location.

Qualification
All successful delegates will be awarded a certificate approved by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), this certificate is valid for three years.

Duration
The total duration of the course is 24 learning hours. We have broken this down into 4 manageable days.
